When I became a, a Catholic, I feel, um, like I have a great, I mean, we call it cloud of witnesses, maybe, or the saints, but, but we also have some incredibly brilliant minds over a couple thousands of years, um, deep thinkers and deeply faithful, um, popes and, and theologians and saints who I, I join with them and, and through whom there is a great amount of, um, faithful guidance for me and for, for any Catholic.

And I, and I'm proud of that.

I, I'm proud of that, and I'm proud of the fact that I can seek and count on tremendous depth of thought in how, um, to make decisions and how to live the Catholic faith, li- live the Catholic life.

Um, that's a richness that simply isn't any place else, and I'm grateful for it.

My, my conscience has been formed by the Catholic Church in the sense that I examine my own, my own v- views about things that, uh, what my thinking is, is correct.

And so, I'm able to evaluate a movie that I might watch or, or behavior of someone else that it is morally, it is morally wrong.

And in some instances, I'm able to share with them that it is morally wrong.

The Catholic Church helps me to make good decisions through knowing what to pray and how to pray and, um, simply, in some cases, asking God what would he do in my situation.

And then thirdly, um, listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit and ignoring the whispers of the devil.

I feel like in today's world, there's constantly different moral issues that we have to figure out how we're supposed to act, how we're supposed to think, how we're supposed to feel, um, about them.

Every day we wake up and we're faced with something political, something, um, challenging to our conscience, whether it be something new with abortion or something new with marriage and how the world is trying to redefine that, whether it be a gender issue, whether it be euthanasia.

And it's, it's very difficult knowing that we are flawed human beings and we're not always going to, to feel right off the bat or to think right off the bat how we're supposed to about these things.

It's very comforting mate, to me to know that I'm a part of a church whose entire thinking, whose entire authority, whose entire truths are guided by the Holy Spirit.

One thing when I became Catholic that, uh, that really shook me regarding the Catholic Church is its consistency on all of these issues.

There is, there's no wavering.

In every one of these, uh, modern moral issues, there is always the dignity of the human being upheld.

There is always the sanctity of life upheld.

There is always the sanctity of marriage upheld.

And I feel good knowing that I'm a part of a church who's guiding me, um, towards the truth.
